The Costa Rica Landslide Awareness Project was born in the aftermath of the devastating landslide that occurred early Thursday morning, on Nov. 4, 2010 at Pico Blanco above San Antonio de Escazú, a mountainside suburb West of San Jose. The aim of this project is to raise awareness and draw attention to a series of aspects related to landslides and natural disasters.
